Batch convert images and download one ZIP file

Batch conversion saves time only when files share the same goal. A well-prepared batch uses common rules, keeps understandable names, and remains easy to verify after download.

Recommended workflow

  • Group files with the same destination.
  • Choose one common format and settings.
  • Test a representative image before the whole batch.
  • Download one ZIP archive.
  • Check output count and edge cases before removing originals.

Prepare a consistent batch

Separate web photos, scanned documents, and transparent logos. One setting rarely serves all of them well.

Rename sources when several folders contain identical names. The extracted archive should make sense without relying on browser download order.

  • Same destination
  • Same transparency need
  • Similar dimensions
  • Unique filenames
  • Backed-up originals

Choose cautious common settings

Use an output accepted by every source and destination. For HEIC photos intended for sharing, JPG at quality 85 is a starting point. For PNG screenshots on the web, transparent WebP may be more suitable.

Do not force both width and height without aspect ratio unless distortion is acceptable. With mixed orientations, limit one dimension or the longest side instead.

Validate a sample before the full batch

Choose a detailed image, a dark image, and a transparent image when available. Convert them with the planned settings and open them in the destination application.

This catches replaced backgrounds, insufficient quality, wrong ratios, and rejected formats before dozens of files are processed.

Why download a ZIP archive

One archive avoids a stream of download prompts and keeps the batch together. ZIP may not greatly reduce already compressed images, but it simplifies transfer and file-count checks.

ImageVerter builds the archive locally from completed results. If one file fails, resolve the warning before treating the batch as complete.

Check results without opening everything

Compare source and output counts, then inspect the largest, smallest, portrait, landscape, and any transparent image.

Keep originals until the destination accepts the batch. A delivery archive is not a source backup.

  • Count files
  • Extract into a new folder
  • Check extensions
  • Open representative cases
  • Test one file in the final destination

Prepare a batch

Add several images, choose one common output, and download one archive when the checks pass.
